Windrose to Work with MIRA Technology Park & HORIBA MIRA
Accelerating Windrose's entry into the British market through GB Type Approval, Individual Vehicle Approval, and local assembly exploration.
We're pleased to be working with MIRA Technology Park – one of the UK's leading automotive engineering and testing centres – to accelerate our entry into the British market.
While we are already pursuing GB Vehicle Type Approval for the Windrose Global E700, our collaboration with HORIBA MIRA will assist us in obtaining Individual Vehicle Approval which allows us to get our electric heavy-duty trucks on UK roads sooner.
But that's not all. We're also exploring opportunities around local assembly, because we don't just want to sell trucks in the UK. We want to build them there too.
Our work with HORIBA MIRA will additionally accelerate our qualification for the UK government's Zero Emission Truck Grant (ZETG) — worth up to £81,000 per vehicle, covering up to 40% of the purchase cost — an important step in making zero-emission heavy haulage commercially competitive for British fleet operators from day one.
