Operation Safety and Permit

The maximum allowable total mass of goods transported should be strictly observed. Do not overload, as overloading can lead to vehicle breakdown or damage, and may cause personal injury. Before driving, be sure to adjust the seat in place. Seat belts are the best protection device in all types of collisions.

⚠️
WarningIt is strictly forbidden to coast downhill in neutral gear.
⚠️
WarningThe maximum driving speed shall not exceed 30 km/h when: entering/exiting non-motorized lanes, railway crossings, sharp curves, narrow roads or bridges; making a U-turn, turning, or going down a steep slope; encountering fog, rain, snow, dust, or hail with visibility less than 164 feet; driving on icy/snowy or muddy roads; towing a malfunctioning motor vehicle.
🔔
NoticeWhen driving near a local radio astronomy observatory, keep a safe distance — radar-equipped vehicles may cause electromagnetic interference.

Original Parts

Windrose will not be liable for warranty in any of the following situations: unauthorized modification of vehicles, especially systems related to driving safety (high-voltage systems, electrical appliances, braking, steering, and TBOX); tampering with the vehicle's OBD system; use of non-designated regular parts and fluids that cause safety hazards or vehicle damage; failure to have the vehicle maintained at a Windrose authorized service station.

Data Security

In accordance with laws and regulations, vehicle data such as tracks, driving behaviors, audio/video, and personal information collected will be protected by Windrose in compliance with legal requirements and national or industrial technical standards.

Vehicle Modification

The modification of a vehicle should meet technical requirements. At a minimum, the following must be provided to Windrose: purpose and working condition; total weight and axle load; outline dimensions; height of the bodywork bottom plate; fixing mode of the bodywork; schematic diagram of the subframe.

Vehicle Scrapping

Vehicles that no longer meet road driving conditions should be scrapped in accordance with national environmental protection regulations. Before scrapping, contact a Windrose authorized service station.

⚠️
WarningVehicle scrapping must be performed by Windrose or relevant certification authorities. Incorrect scrapping may lead to fire.

High Voltage Battery Recycling

Windrose will test the capacity and condition of the high voltage battery and recycle it according to applicable laws. Recycling should be done by Windrose or a designated third-party recycling organization.

⚠️
Warning
  • Do not dispose of or discard used high voltage batteries — they risk fire or serious environmental pollution.
  • Do not hand over waste high voltage batteries to other units or individuals.

Eco Driving

  • Drive at a constant speed and avoid sudden acceleration and braking.
  • Regularly maintain the vehicle to keep it in good working condition.
  • Never coast in neutral gear — this results in poor lubrication of the E-axle and damage to system components.

Winter Driving

Preparation

  • Use high-quality coolant based on the lowest temperature; the freezing point should be lower than local minimum temperature.
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged at all times to prevent it from freezing under low temperatures.

Precautions

  • It is recommended to use snow chains or snow tires.
  • Avoid sudden acceleration, sudden braking, and sharp turns at high speeds.
  • On snow- and ice-covered roads, keep at a low speed to ensure better service braking.
  • Maintain a reasonable distance between vehicles — increase the distance on rainy/snowy or icy roads.

Use of Snow Chains

  • Use snow chains when driving on roads covered with thick layers of snow or ice.
  • The specification of snow chains should match the specification and model of tires.
  • Position snow chains on the left and right outer tires of the driving wheels.
  • After installing snow chains, start the vehicle and observe whether the chains are loose.
⚠️
WarningWhen using snow chains, it is forbidden to exceed the maximum effective driving speed to avoid accidents.
🔔
NoticeRemove snow chains when driving on long roads without snow and ice. Snow chains should not interfere with other vehicle parts while driving.

Driving in Tropical and High Temperature Areas

  • Check whether the coolant level is within the normal range and check for leakage.
  • Do not leave flammable and explosive materials on the instrument panel for a long time — high temperatures may cause explosions.
  • Monitor the instrument cluster indicators. If any warning lamps illuminate, stop immediately and contact a Windrose authorized service station.
  • Monitor tire pressure and temperature. If abnormal, stop and let tires cool naturally — do not use water spraying or deflation to cool tires.

Driving on Bumpy and Slippery Roads

  • On bumpy roads, keep at low speeds to avoid discomfort and accelerated wear of shock-isolating components.
  • On slippery roads, keep at low speeds and apply brakes carefully to avoid sideslip.
  • When vehicle sideslip happens on wet and slippery roads, apply the service brake to slow down.

Ramp Driving

Uphill

  • If the vehicle slips when starting on a ramp, immediately depress the brake pedal, turn on the electronic parking brake, then start the vehicle.
  • When driving uphill, keep at low speeds, maintain stability, and do not accelerate or brake suddenly.

Downhill

  • Before driving downhill, reduce vehicle speed so the vehicle enters the grade at low speed.
  • It is strictly forbidden to coast in neutral gear when going downhill — this endangers your life.
  • For long downhill drives, do not depress the brake pedal continuously — this may cause brake overheating and failure.

Reporting Safety Defects

Vehicles domiciled in the USA thought to have a defect that could cause a crash, injury, or death should immediately be reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Windrose.

  • NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline: 1-888-327-4236 (TTY: 1-800-424-9153)
